1. Application & Acceptance
Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance. All exhibitions are curated at the discretion of the Gallery, based on artistic quality, professionalism, suitability for the space, and alignment with the Gallery’s programme and standards.
2. Minimum Hire Period
The minimum gallery hire period is one week.
3. Hire Rates
The following hire rates apply:
1 week — £450
2 weeks — £800
1 month — £1300
8 weeks — £1900
Hire fees include:
All utility bills
Strong Wi-Fi access
Kitchenette facilities
Once-weekly cleaning of the premises
4. Deposit & Booking Confirmation
A non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the total hire fee is required upon signing this agreement to secure the exhibition dates. No booking shall be considered confirmed until the deposit has been received by Saltaire Art Ltd. The remaining balance must be paid in full before the commencement of the hire period, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Condition of the Space
The Gallery commits to handing over the premises in a clean, presentable, carte blanche condition suitable for exhibition installation.
The Artist agrees to return the space in the same condition at the end of the hire period. Any excessive cleaning, repairs, damage, or removal costs may be charged to the Artist.
6. Installation, Storage & Removal
No artworks, packaging, furniture, equipment, or materials may be stored at the Gallery outside the agreed hire period unless agreed in writing beforehand.
Any items left behind after the agreed collection date will be deemed abandoned and automatically become the property of Saltaire Art Ltd, with the Gallery retaining full rights to dispose of, store, sell, or otherwise manage such items at its discretion.
7. Marketing & Promotion
The Artist remains fully responsible for the marketing, promotion, and audience development of their exhibition.
The Gallery may, at its discretion, choose to share or support promotional material, but accepts no obligation to market the exhibition, generate sales, or provide visitor numbers.
8. Access to the Premises
The Artist will be provided with one set of keys and/or door access codes for the duration of the agreed hire period only.
All keys, access devices, and codes must remain confidential and must be returned or deleted immediately upon the conclusion of the exhibition period.
9. Insurance & Transport
The Artist is fully responsible for:
Insurance of artworks and personal property
Transportation and handling of artwork
Any loss, theft, or damage occurring during transit, installation, exhibition, or removal
The Gallery accepts no responsibility for uninsured works or property belonging to the Artist.
10. Conduct & Use of the Space
The Artist agrees to use the premises respectfully and lawfully, maintaining professional standards throughout the exhibition period.
The Gallery reserves the right to terminate the agreement immediately in cases of:
Damage to the premises
Illegal activity
Dangerous conduct
Behaviour likely to damage the reputation of the Gallery
11. Right to Refuse or Cancel
The Gallery reserves the right to refuse applications or cancel bookings where necessary due to operational, reputational, legal, or safety concerns.
12. Amendments
Saltaire Art Ltd reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time where reasonably necessary.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an application, paying a booking fee, or exhibiting within the premises, the Artist confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
Terms & Conditions for Gallery Hire and Exhibition Applications
These Terms & Conditions form the basis of the agreement between Saltaire Art Ltd, trading as Nina Hunter Gallery and Collectors Lounge (“the Gallery”), and the exhibiting artist, group, or collective (“the Artist”).
